Dedicated Nursing Associates

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring swift and accurate completion of all employee pay. They will be in charge of organizing and overseeing any updates, changes, or onboarding needs of the company payroll system. The ideal candidate has managerial experience, as they will be in charge of supervising and assigning work to the payroll and billing specialists.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of payroll staff
  • Calculate and deduct appropriate amounts from payroll checks, including withholdings and other garnishments
  • Accurately submit all Payroll on a weekly basis via ADP
  • Handle any Payroll discrepancies with employees
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Maintain staff performance by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising performance
  • Create monthly journal entries
  • Create and review intercompany invoices
  • Accurate record keeping in Quickbooks
  • Prepare and facilitate audit documentation
  • Maintain general ledger with regards to payroll transactions
  • Administer simple IRA/401k plans
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Assist CFO with special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Managerial/ supervisory experience
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal rules and laws

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of times
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and reach
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Work environment

Generally works in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.
