  1. Introduction
    1. Dedicated Nursing Associates, Inc. (DNA) is committed to the highest standards of legal and ethical conduct.  The Code of Ethics (Code) sets forth DNA’s policies for professional conduct and performance with respect to the way employees conduct themselves and operate the business.  This Code is designed to deter any and all wrongdoing and to promote honest and ethical conduct among employees.
  2. Ethical Conduct
    1. DNA strives to perform all operations in an ethical manner:

                                                              i.      Use of Assets:

1.      Any and all of DNA’s assets must be used for legitimate business purposes.  All employees are responsible to ensure the proper use of assets. The misuse of assets may include but is not limited to theft, wastefulness, and carelessness with materials.

                                                            ii.      Applicants for Employment:

1.      DNA will treat any and all applicants with dignity and respect, and to provide equal employment opportunities based on legitimate job qualifications without any regard for race, sex, age, religion, national origin, disability, or any other basis prohibited by law.

                                                          iii.      Accurate Documentation:

1.      DNA employees will accurately document any records to reflect events in compliance with any laws, rules, and regulations. 

  1. Privacy
    1. Confidential information is entrusted to DNA employees on a regular basis by clients, employees, or vendors.  Any and all confidential information must be kept confidential except when disclosure is authorized by DNA or an applicable law or regulation.  DNA is committed to maintaining confidential information:

                                                              i.      Employee Privacy:

1.      Only authorized employees may access employee information.  This information may include but is not limited to the employee’s address, phone number, date of birth, social security number, medical records, credentials, etc. 

2.      Employee information is only disclosed to clients when required.  Employee contact information (i.e. phone numbers, addresses) are not disclosed to clients without the permission of the employee.

                                                            ii.      Company Privacy:

1.      DNA employees will keep any information obtained either directly or indirectly as a result of, or connection with, contact or affiliation with DNA or its existing or potential clients confidential.  This information may include but is not limited to the names of clients, contacts, locations, employment opportunities, and patient information

  1. Safety
    1. DNA is committed to providing a safe workplace: 

                                                              i.      The workplace will be drug and alcohol free.  No employee may possess, distribute, or sell illegal drugs. 

                                                            ii.      Any and all threats or acts of violence will not be tolerated.

                                                          iii.      The firm will not permit any behaviors that threaten the overall safety of its employees, clients, vendors, and applicants.

  1. Compliance with Applicable Laws, Rules and Regulations
    1. DNA will strive to comply with all laws and regulations applicable to the staffing firm, and to maintain high standards of ethical conduct in the operations of the firm in its dealings with clients and employees.
    2. When an applicable law, rule, or regulation is unclear or seems to conflict with another law or provision of this Code, employees are encouraged to seek clarification from a supervisor or the Ethics Committee.
  2. Reporting Violations of this Code
    1. If an employee of DNA believes that an action has occurred, is occurring, or could potentially occur that would or could potentially violate this Code, including any actual or apparent conflicts of interest between personal and professional relationships involving any management or employee, the employee must immediately bring this matter to the attention of DNA’s Ethics Committee.  The employee must also bring to the attention of the Ethics Committee any information or evidence he or she may have concerning a violation of regulations, rules, or laws applicable to DNA and the operation of the firm, by DNA or an agent thereof. 
    2. An employee of DNA is required to report any violations of this Code to DNA’s Ethics Committee by any of the following methods:

                                                              i.      In writing either by internal mail or U.S. mail, or

                                                            ii.      By telephone.

                                                            ii.      A DNA employee may also report any violations of this Code at 800.561.6499.  DNA would prefer that any employee identify themselves to facilitate any investigation of any report or incident.  However, an employee may elect to remain anonymous. 

  1. Accountability for Adherence to this Code
    1. All employees of DNA will be held accountable for adherence to this Code.  Those who violate this Code will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination, and, potentially, civil and/or criminal prosecution.
  2. Changes to this Code
    1. Any change to this Code will be promptly disclosed to all employees.
