Fitness Attendant
Fitness Attendants are responsible for controlling access to Dedicated Fitness while providing quality customer service.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Welcome, greet and assist patrons
- Complete opening, maintenance and/or closing procedures
- Complete transactions at the front desk according to the proper procedures
- Report any faulty equipment or errors
- Maintain cleanliness and reset equipment to proper locations when applicable
- Monitor facility for proper use of equipment and assist as a spotter for patrons upon request
- Use mature judgment in emergency situations
- Work special events and promotional opportunities that may take place on evenings and weekends
Requirements:
- General knowledge of office equipment
- Previous customer service, sports, or fitness experiencet
- CPR/AED Certification – American Red Cross or American Heart Association (Preferred)
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and carry weight, possibly up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, balance, or climb (stairs/ladders)
- Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs, such as sweeping, vacuuming and mopping
Work environment:
Generally works in a fitness environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical fitness setting.
